Chapter 11 of John is a pivotal chapter. Raising Lazarus from the dead is the last and greatest sign of Jesus that John records. Moreover, the attention shifts from the responses of the people to the determination of Jesus to fulfill what has been prophesized about Him. Raising Lazarus foreshadows the death and resurrection of Jesus. Thank you for persevering with me as we study John together.
Sermon in a Sentence: Deeply moved by the deadly results of sin, Christ came to set us free.

God’s Grand Design of Delay
Lazarus was already dead by the time Jesus received the message.

The disciples misunderstand, again.
Thomas, why hopelessly throw away everything Jesus taught you?
