A Limited Time Offer
Isaiah 55:1-9
December 7, 2025
Dr. Kelly B. Burton
This is the perfect ending to our Isaiah study. Thank you for your faithful attendance. I appreciate all of you so much. In this chapter God speaks in the first Person. He has fully pardoned the Hebrews in Babylon. But their forgiveness has come at a high cost. God’s Suffering Servant (in Isaiah 53) met the demands of His Father so that compassion can flow abundantly to them. How tragic it would be to assume that God’s offer of forgiveness could be put off until a better time for you! This is a limited time offer for the Hebrews.
Sermon Idea: In God’s market those with empty pockets are welcome. Come to Him and buy the wine and milk of Heaven.
55:1-3 A Proposition and A Promise
In the Bible food serves as a means of conveying spiritual truths.
All are invited to eat and drink. No matter how malicious your sin is, come!
55:6-9 A Limited Time Offer
“Seek the Lord” is another way of saying, “Feel the remorse of your wrong, and call out to God.”
Return to Him speaks of our responsibility to repent.

A Thanksgiving Meditation Psalm 100 November 23, 2025 Dr. Kelly B. Burton The beauty of the Psalms is that they take the words right out of our mouth. Better yet, the Psalms put the right words into our mouths. The New Testament quotes the Psalms more often than any other Old Testament book. The Psalms… Read More »
