Jesus used His favorite method of teaching called parables to reveal and conceal truth. Yes, that’s right! If you understand parables, you can understand the secrets of the Kingdom. Some in the great crowds who followed Jesus had no intention of hearing Jesus. They were following Him for all the wrong reasons. Don’t kid yourself. If you have ears that hear, then use them!
Sermon in a Sentence: God gives the secrets of His Kingdom to those who can hear Him. Make it obvious to God that you hear Him.
8:1-3 The Right Kind of Follower
Jesus raised womanhood from a place of servitude to men to a place of fellowship with Him.
8:4-8 The Right Kind of Teaching
Parable teaching sifts the merely curious from the true followers of Christ.
8:9-15 The Right Kind of Heart
The one who can hear God will make it obvious to God that they can hear Him loud and clear.
