Do you still marvel at why God saved you? Paul never got over his salvation experience. In these six verses Paul reminds Timothy of his source of strength. Timothy will need it to protect his church from false teachers. I hope you all will leave today with a greater confidence in your salvation and a greater appreciation of the mercy, grace and patience of God in Christ. God gushes out His grace on the faithful, patiently rescuing us from judgment.

Two reminders for every Christian to better appreciate the patient grace of God:
12-13 Impossibly Lost!
Paul was a prime candidate for God’s judgment on three counts.
God’s grace is unconditional.
14-17 Compassionately Rescued!
The verb in v14, “overflowed,” is used this one time in the whole NT.
Paul’s Trustworthy Statement is a red flag for us to slow down and take note!
