Brent Vaughan

Brent began serving as interim youth director in February of 2025 and officially accepted the position in July. He grew up in Richardson, Texas and graduated from Baylor University with a B.A. in Business Administration in 1995. He moved to Mineola in 2002 and married his amazing wife Kim in 2004. He has two sons Max and Jake. Brent spent the last 20 years in the insurance and financial planning sector. Prior to becoming a father he coached and refereed in the Upward Christian basketball league and worked with youth at church. He also coached both of his boys in various sports. As youth director, he leads Sunday school and Wednesday night service for youth grades  7 – 12. “I’ve always had a passion for teaching young people. My youth pastor played an important role in my life and I want to do the same for these kids. My goal is to help them understand how much God loves them and what it means to be a follower of Christ. My prayer is that each year they mature in their faith and have a strong biblical foundation as they start their journey into adulthood.”
