Dr. Kelly B. Burton
This chapter of Isaiah is brim full of theology. The content assures us that God is not finished with His plans for His people. We are to read these verses looking back to what God has done and looking forward to what He will do in our future. We read about the characteristics of God’s chosen Messiah in 1-5. We are amazed at the worldwide peace described in 6-9. Finally, in 10-12 we see the hand of God reaching out to invite us to leave our old life behind. Take God’s offer of peace and safety today.
Sermon Idea: God is not finished with His plans for His people. Take God’s offer of peace and safety today.
