The crux of the Christmas message is that God sent His Son into the world to rescue us from our sins. Last week I gave you a pretty typical text for a Christmas message. Today please notice that the pastor is showing you the same essence of the Christmas message yet through another genre. By way of parable, Jesus predicts His rejection from religious leaders and their crucifixion of Him. The parable stands as a warning to those who presume on their spiritual safety.
Sermon in a Sentence: It is risky business to presume you are good with God; salvation is not a cause to be arrogant but humble to one another.
