Staying with the theme of The Hidden Works of Christ, I want to preach today about your Helper from Heaven. This hidden work is the gifting of the Holy Spirit to believers only. Following an emotional Passover Meal with Jesus, the disciples are quite anxious about their future without Jesus’ presence. To calm their anxious hearts Jesus makes them a promise. His promise endued them with power to spread the Gospel.
Sermon in a Sentence: Until Jesus comes back, He put His Spirit in us to help us. Do not let your heart get all stirred up.
1. The Spirit’s Particular Presence 14:15-17

2. The Spirit’s Supernatural Work 14:25-27
a. What was the Spirit up to in Genesis 1:1-2?
b. He gives us supernatural insight to the work of Jesus and His teaching.
