Before we enter into chapter 13 of Mark it is important to rid yourself of any presuppositions you may have learned along the way about the last days. Try to just keep the plain things the main things. There are at least sixteen different interpretations about this chapter alone! Yes, we are in the last days. When Jesus ascended to heaven the last days began. Some of these things have already happened; others are still to come. There is one thing for sure: Jesus predicted tough times are coming. Keep the faith and you will be rescued.

There are two very plain things in Mark 13:
A. Pastoral Warnings
“Be on your guard” v9, v33.
Endure to the end and you will be rescued.
B. Devastating Providences
The abomination of desolation, Matthew 24, and Daniel 11:31-32.
The Tribulation Period. Daniel 12:1-2.
