His Matchless Name
Hebrews 1:1-5
March 30, 2025
Dr. Kelly B. Burton
The anonymous writer of Hebrews is addressing Jewish Christians who have not heard or seen Jesus in person. They are enduring abuse from their families and friends for becoming Christian. The physical and emotional stress from all of that adversity has caused some of these Christians to turn back to their old coping mechanisms. The writer to these Hebrews is aiming to warn them against this apostacy. They have everything to lose if they forsake their Savior, Jesus Christ.
Sermon Idea: Jesus is sitting at the place of greatest honor. Confess your sins to Him and be made well again.
