Unstoppable
Acts 2:1-21
March 9, 2025
Dr. Kelly B. Burton
God is answering our cooperate prayer to send us lost people who need Christ. He wants us to catch His vision for the Church to make disciples from all nations. For the next few Sundays, I would like to lead us through the Book of Acts under the heading Unstoppable. There are four themes that run throughout the book: Power, Mission, Prayer, and Discipleship. I believe if we model those themes as presented in Acts, we too will be unstoppable in our efforts to make disciples. God fills us to the brim with His Holy Spirit so that we will powerfully and persuasively proclaim Jesus.
Main Idea: God fills us to the brim with His Holy Spirit so that Jesus can be powerfully and persuasively proclaimed.
2:1-11 Receive the Holy Spirit’s Unstoppable Power
Why was it important to God to send the Holy Spirit at Pentecost?
The wind of the Spirit blew them into the streets of Jerusalem to tell everyone about Jesus. They were unstoppable.
2:14-21 Get in on God’s Unstoppable Mission
Through preaching God stirred the affections of the people and they responded.
The Book of Acts illustrates how their mission was unstoppable.
