A Thanksgiving Meditation
Psalm 100
November 23, 2025
Dr. Kelly B. Burton
The beauty of the Psalms is that they take the words right out of our mouth. Better yet, the Psalms put the right words into our mouths. The New Testament quotes the Psalms more often than any other Old Testament book. The Psalms speak to our emotions and help us express those emotions to God. They are to be read with the heart, not just the head. Psalm 100 is perfectly placed in Book IV. Thirteen of the seventeen Psalms in Book IV are orphan Psalms, they have no identified human author. The pastor takes that to mean they are meant to be read as God speaking directly to you. This sermon is A Thanksgiving Meditation. May you enter and exit today thanking God.
