Isaiah 61:1-4

We return today to the Old Testament. This time to the most obvious of places to see best the Visions of Christ. Prepared to return to Jerusalem, the people need a miracle. They need some good news quickly. Their city is ruined, their temple burned to the ground, no king rules over them, and there is no money to rebuild. They themselves are in need of repair and desperate for restoration. For me, Israel stands as a gloomy portrait of humanity exiled without a Savior. So, God sends Good News for the Humble!
